Social Media Community Moderation Policy
1. INTRODUCTION
Village Roadshow Theme Parks Pty Ltd ABN 60 010 919 623 ("we", "us" or "our") operates and manages the official social media pages and accounts (collectively "our Platforms") for its theme parks and entertainment facilities Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild, Paradise Country, Australian Outback Spectacular, Sea World Resort, Sea World Foundation, Conference & Events and Topgolf Gold Coast.
We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable online community for all guests and followers. This Social Media Community Moderation Policy ("Policy") sets out our standards for community participation and the actions we may take to manage, moderate, remove or restrict content and users on our Platforms.
By interacting with our Platforms including posting comments, liking, sharing or messaging you agree to comply with this Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and the terms of service of the relevant social media service providers (e.g. Meta/Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
2. SCOPE
This Policy applies to all official Village Roadshow Theme Parks social media Platforms including but not limited to:
Meta/Facebook pages and groups
Instagram accounts
TikTok accounts
YouTube channels
LinkedIn pages
Any other official online community spaces operated by us
3. COMMUNITY STANDARDS
We want our online community to be a fun, safe and respectful space. When interacting on our Platforms you agree to:
Treat other users, guests and our team members with courtesy and respect
Keep your comments relevant to the post or topic at hand
Share constructive feedback and genuine experiences
Respect the privacy of others, including fellow guests and staff
Comply with all applicable Australian laws including but not limited to laws relating to defamation, privacy, consumer protection, anti- discrimination, and copyright and the service provider’s own terms of service.
4. PROHIBITED CONTENT
To protect our community, we will not tolerate content that is harmful, offensive or inappropriate. The following types of content are strictly prohibited on our Platforms:
4.1 Abusive & Offensive Behaviour
Personal attacks, insults, threats or harassment directed at any person, including other users, guests or our staff
Bullying, intimidation or deliberately hostile conduct
Aggressive, inflammatory or rude language
Content designed to provoke, antagonise, or demean others
4.2 Hate Speech & Discrimination
Content that promotes hatred, discrimination or vilification based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other protected characteristic
Use of slurs, derogatory terms or stereotypes targeting any group
4.3 Dangerous, Illegal or Harmful Content
Content that encourages, facilitates or glorifies illegal activity
Content that could endanger the safety or wellbeing of any person
Promotion of self-harm, suicide or dangerous behaviours
Sharing of personal information ("doxxing") about any individual without their consent
4.4 Spam & Misleading Content
Repetitive, unsolicited or irrelevant posts, comments or messages
Advertising, promotional content or solicitation for third-party businesses or services without prior written approval from us
False, misleading or deliberately inaccurate claims about our theme parks and entertainment facilities’ products, services or staff
Phishing links, malware or any content intended to defraud or deceive
4.5 Intellectual Property Infringement
Content that infringes the copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of us, related entities, Warner Bros., or any third party
Unauthorised use of our logos, branding, or proprietary materials
4.6 Inappropriate or Adult Content
Sexually explicit, graphic or adult content of any kind
Graphic violence or gore
Content that is inappropriate for a family audience
4.7 Political & Off-Topic Content
Unsolicited political campaigning, propaganda, or divisive political commentary unrelated to our theme parks, entertainment facilities or services
Content that is clearly irrelevant to our theme parks, entertainment facilities or community
5. MODERATION ACTIONS
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to take any of the following actions in response to content or behaviour that breaches this Policy or that we otherwise deem to be unsuitable for our community:
5.1 Automated Moderation
Our Platforms utilise automated moderation tools that scan comments and posts in real time for keywords and phrases associated with prohibited content as outlined in Section 4 of this Policy. Content that matches these filters may be automatically hidden or removed without prior notice. Automated moderation is applied in addition to, and not in place of, manual review by our Customer Support team. As automated systems may occasionally affect content that was not intended to violate this Policy, any user who believes their content has been incorrectly filtered is encouraged to contact us via the appeals process outlined in Section 7. We reserve the right to update, expand or modify phrases and keyword filters at any time without notice.
5.2 Comment or Post Removal
We may remove, hide or delete any comment, post, image, video or other content that violates this Policy, without prior notice to the user. Removal may occur at any time and does not require us to provide a reason.
5.3 Blocking & Restricting Users
We may block, mute, restrict or ban a user from interacting with our Platforms where that user:
Breaches this Policy
Engages in abusive, threatening, or harassing conduct toward our team or other users
Attempts to circumvent previous moderation actions (e.g. creating new accounts after being blocked)
Engages in behaviour that disrupts the experience of our community
A blocked or restricted user will be unable to post, comment, like, share or otherwise interact with our official social media accounts on the relevant platform. Blocks and restrictions may be temporary or permanent at our discretion.
5.4 Reporting to Platforms or Authorities
Where content is potentially illegal, involves credible threats to any person, or otherwise warrants escalation, we reserve the right to take further action as we consider appropriate. This may include [but is not limited to] reporting the content and/or user to the relevant social media platform, referring the matter to law enforcement or other relevant authorities or pursuing legal action against the relevant individual. Nothing in this Policy should be deemed to limit our right to take any action available to us at law.
6. NO OBLIGATION TO MONITOR
While we endeavour to maintain a positive community environment, we do not accept or agree that there is any obligation to monitor, review or moderate content posted on our Platforms. We are not responsible for user-generated content posted by third parties. The presence of content on our Platforms does not imply our endorsement or approval of that content.
7. APPEALS & FEEDBACK
If you reasonably believe a comment or post has been removed in error, or that a moderation action has been applied incorrectly, you may contact our Customer Support team to raise your concern:

We will endeavour to respond to genuine appeals within 14 days. Please note that we are not obligated to reverse any moderation action and our response is provided as a courtesy only.

Social media platforms are third-party services with their own terms of service. We have no control over the availability, functionality or policies of these platforms and accepts no liability in connection with their operation.
Views expressed by users on our Platforms do not reflect our views, opinions or position. We do not endorse, verify or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any user-generated content. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on user-generated content posted on our Platforms.
