As we enter 2023, this much-loved attraction will be closing at the end of the school holidays to undergo a multi-million-dollar upgrade. The Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster has seen over 21.9 million guests experience this iconic attraction in its 21 years of operations at Warner Bros. Movie World. As we enter 2023, this much-loved attraction will be closing at the end of the school holidays to undergo a multi-million-dollar upgrade. Continue reading to see what improvements and attraction enhancements have occurred over the last two years and what is to come! As we move into the future, our list of exciting and thrilling attractions continues to grow. Village Roadshow Theme Parks continues to invest in upgrading and enhancing our existing and much-loved attractions. Over the last 5 years, our guest experiences and offerings have evolved including the addition of the Southern Hemisphere's longest, tallest and fastest HyperCoaster, DC Rivals, as well as bringing the movie magic back to the park, with new annual events such as Hooray For Hollywood and other attractions such as the WB Studio Showcase which features movie props, costumes and set pieces.

2021 – Road Runner Rollercoaster
The Road Runner Rollercoaster received a ride system upgrade and brand-new trains providing our guests with a smoother and more enjoyable ride experience. These upgrades included: • Ride system controllers and monitoring • Larger trains to be more accommodating for riders • State of the art harnesses that are more comfortable for riders • Replacement of the brakes for a smoother stopping at the end of the ride cycle • New theming enhancements with audio throughout the ride experience
2021 – Wild West Falls Adventure Ride
The Wild West Falls Adventure Ride received a major overhaul of the ride system and new high-tech boats to expand the life of Australia’s largest water-based attraction, which opened in 1998. These upgrades included: • New high-tech boats, with individual lap bars and cushion comfort headrest and handle bars • New anti-roll back feature with reduced noise on the boats travelling up the lifts • Upgrades to the station to allow an easier and safer entry and exit of the boats for our guests • Theming enhancement throughout the attraction • The system which controls all the theming elements was upgraded, to allow for future enhancements to the light and sound effects of the ride
2022 – Superman Escape
The Superman Escape rollercoaster received theming enhancements both internally and externally. These upgrades included: • Ride enhancements throughout the dark ride section, including lighting, strobes and smoke effects • The return of the smoke rings on the external of the show building
2022 – Justice League 3D – The Ride
The Justice League 3D received a software upgrade to improve guest on-ride experience and additional theming enhancements. These upgrades included: • New 3D laser projectors • On-ride gaming upgrades with a state-of-the-art server • Theming enhancements such as a fog screen with a projection of Starro, smoke machines, UV lights and pixel strip lighting

2024 - The Wizard of Oz
Construction is underway as we Journey Over the Rainbow with a world-first Wizard of Oz precinct including two new family-friendly rides coming in 2024. The new precinct will include: • A suspended family coaster • A boomerang racer, which entails two coasters racing side-by-side • Immersive theming throughout the precinct The Wizard of Oz precinct will be designed to thrill the entire family. Experience thematic elements including projection mapping, stunning sculptures, and facades as you travel along the yellow brick road.
2025 – Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster
This multi-million-dollar refurbishment/upgrade includes: • Upgrades to the track for a smoother ride experience. This upgrade includes: braking system upgraded to magnetic brakes, partial track replacement, car and vertical lift components replaced with modern designs. • New ride operating system, providing a more reliable operation • New ride vehicles, fitted with state-of-the-art harnesses for a more comfortable ride experience • Tester seat at the attraction entrance • Theming improvements for guest experience

As we enter 2023, the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster will be closing to undergo a complete upgrade of the attraction. This upgrade will ensure the future longevity of this family-favourite attraction.
