Dreaming of a fun filled holiday on the Gold Coast? We’ve got all the hot spots you need to hit during your stay. Whether you’re travelling as a family, or a local needing some inspo on what to do this weekend, you’ve come to the right place.

Northern Gold Coast

Now of course when you think of the Gold Coast’s must see and do’s, the beautiful white sandy beaches come to mind but did you know it’s Australia’s largest theme park playground? With some of Australia’s best theme parks located right here on the Gold Coast, there is something for everyone - whether you’re a teen searching for the ultimate adrenaline rush, reliving childhood memories, or are visiting the theme parks with your little ones for the first time. If you’re feeling adventurous, take on the tallest, longest and fastest HyperCoaster in the Southern Hemisphere at Warner Bros. Movie World for the ultimate thrill. Plus, snap a pic with some of your favourite DC Super Heroes and Looney Tunes characters to remember your day!

If roller coasters and movie stars aren’t your thing, why not chill out for the afternoon in Calypso Beach at Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast? Float your worries away on this lazy river whilst soaking up the GC heat. Better yet, base yourself by the Giant Wave Pool in an exclusive cabana for the day to enjoy that VIP experience.

If you’re after a more authentic Australiana experience, visit one of the Gold Coast’s hidden gems - Paradise Country. Located behind Movie World, Paradise Country offers an authentic farm experience with an array of cute and cuddly animals, some of which you can even feed! Before you go onto your next adventure, you must try one of the famous burgers from the Farmhouse Restaurant - a favourite of ours is the Chorizo Burger with chips!

Central Gold Coast

Another must see place on the Gold Coast is of course Surfers Paradise Beach. Take a leisurely stroll down this iconic sandy shore whilst enjoying breathtaking views of the Gold Coast Skyline. Stretching over 3km, Surfers Paradise Beach provides the perfect place for the kids to splash around or build sandcastles, whilst the adults relax in the soft white sand.

If you’re wanting to take in the skyline from another point of view, SkyPoint Observation Deck provides uninterrupted views of the Gold Coast, the sea and the hinterland. Once you’ve soaked up that summer sun and stunning views, head north to Main Beach for a visit to the family favourite - Sea World. Discover a world of fun and adventure, and delve below the surface with a range of beautiful marine life. Meet one of the adorable resident polar bears, Mishka, or be mesmerised by the latest exhibit - Sea Jellies Illuminated.

Southern Gold Coast

If you’re after a more laid back, local experience, Southern Gold Coast is the place to go. A trip to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary should be in your bucket list. Get up close with some of Australia’s most popular and loved animals, including koalas, crocodiles and dingoes. At Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, you can also enjoy a range of paid encounters and experiences, as well as free activities, including feeding the lorikeets.

Once you’ve finished exploring the sanctuary, head north to Tallebudgera Creek to cool off with an afternoon dip or kayak. A trip to this sparkling creek is the perfect way to end your day and is also a great destination for the family to camp! There are also waterfront villas for those looking for a more luxurious option.

Now that we’ve given you a little taste of what the Gold Coast has to offer, you know where to go!
